WAS HABEN ZEBRAS MIT NACHHALTIGKEIT ZU TUN?

WHAT DO ZEBRAS HAVE TO DO WITH SUSTAINABILITY?

...and why is that important for limo?

When it comes to sustainability, most people first think of environmental and climate protection. However, that is only partially correct: real sustainability consists of three pillars: ecology, social affairs and economy. These three aspects are connected and mutually influence each other. From this, the shape of a triangle has been established.

The so-called sustainability triangle shows how economic and social developments must be reconciled with the environment and social interests.

ecology

The ecological aspects are probably familiar to most people. These include, for example, the reduction of greenhouse gases, the development and use of renewable energies, the minimization of toxins and the general protection of habitats for plants and animals.

social

When it comes to the social aspect of sustainability, the core issue is responsibility towards our fellow human beings. In a sustainable society, there are as few social tensions and conflicts as possible. In the ideal of a sustainable society, there is neither poverty, hunger nor forced or child labour.

In addition to access to clean water, important prerequisites for a sustainable society are sufficient food, sufficient educational opportunities and training places, as well as decent work for everyone.

economy

Economic sustainability is an issue above all for companies. A company that operates sustainably does not rely solely on constant growth at any price. Rather, the focus here is on long-term existence in the economy for the benefit of all. In general, the point is that our society should not live beyond its means, even economically.

A so-called zebra startup asks itself questions like: What will be improved by my startup? Does it really matter what I'm doing here? The focus is on the good cause of the company and the associated influence on society. Zebras are profitable AND improve society. You will not sacrifice one for the other.

limo is a sustainable zebra!

limo does justice to all three pillars of sustainability.

Ecology: limo produces sustainable upcycling clothing from discarded men's shirts and thus produces with the lowest possible use of resources.

Social: limo produces under fair conditions directly in Germany.

Economy: limo arose from the desire to make a contribution to a sustainable society.

Let's make a contribution together and ensure that clothing is produced and consumed more carefully again!
